A quilt for Christmas

Sunday, January 8, 2012

I made a quilt this year that I gave to Dan's parents for Christmas.  It was part of the "Saturday Sampler" event at my local quilt shop, where you go once a month for a year and get the materials to make one quilt block.

I quilted it using a long-arm quilt machine (thanks, Anita!), and I think it looks okay for my first attempt at long-arm quilting.

I used my leftover fabric scraps on the back of the quilt.

I think they liked it!

Yay!!! You are awesome. I still haven't finished my quilt from 2 years ago. I keep saying I'm going to, but I've picked up knitting instead .... :-)

Laura thanks so much for the quilt. Layne and I are so grateful to have you in our family. It is the warmest quilt I have ever slept under.
